The telos institute and Socratix AI Launch Project Horizons to Help Organizations Navigate the Human Side of AI Transformation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Strategic partnership combines leadership, culture, and organizational transformation expertise with applied AI capability to help companies move beyond efficiency and build real adaptive capacity
CLEVELAND, OHIO, June 11, 2026 — The telos institute and Socratix AI today announced the launch of Project Horizons, a strategic partnership designed to help organizations translate the promise of artificial intelligence into practical, human-centered business impact.
As AI moves rapidly into the workplace, many organizations are approaching the opportunity primarily through the lens of tools, automation, and efficiency. Project Horizons is built on a different premise: AI transformation is not simply a technology challenge. It is a human change challenge.
The partnership brings together telos’ decades of experience in leadership development, executive coaching, culture transformation, and organizational change with Socratix’s expertise in applied AI strategy, enablement, and experimentation. Together, the firms will help leaders and teams build the mindsets, practices, and organizational conditions required to adopt AI in ways that strengthen judgment, deepen collaboration, and expand human capacity.
“Most AI conversations start with efficiency,” said Mike Herzog, President of telos. “That matters, but it is not enough. The deeper question is whether organizations can use AI to expand human capacity without hollowing out the trust, judgment, and relational intimacy that make meaningful change possible. Project Horizons is built around that challenge.”
As part of the partnership, telos has also made a strategic financial investment in Socratix, reflecting its long-term commitment to AI enablement and its belief that the future of organizational performance will depend as much on human adaptation as technological capability.
“AI is creating a profound liminal space for organizations,” said Rick Simmons, CEO of telos. “The old ways of working, leading, learning, and making decisions are no longer sufficient, but the new ways have not yet fully taken shape. That in-between space can create anxiety, fragmentation, and resistance. It can also become a powerful threshold for renewal. Project Horizons is designed to help leaders move through that space with greater intention.”
Project Horizons will support organizations through a range of AI-readiness and enablement offerings, including executive briefings, leadership and team learning experiences, culture and readiness diagnostics, AI adoption strategy, applied experimentation, and capability-building programs. The work is designed for organizations that recognize AI adoption cannot be delegated solely to technology teams. It must be led across the business, embedded in the culture, and supported through new forms of trust, learning, and collaboration.
“Organizations do not become AI-enabled because people attend a tool training,” Herzog added. “They become AI-enabled when people learn how to ask better questions, challenge inherited assumptions, experiment safely, and redesign work in ways that preserve what is most human while taking advantage of what technology now makes possible.”
Through Project Horizons, telos and Socratix will focus on four core arenas of AI-enabled organizational change: Automation, Analytics, Innovation, and Relationships. This framework helps leaders examine not only where AI can improve productivity, but also where it can enhance decision-making, accelerate creativity, reshape collaboration, and strengthen the relational fabric of the organization.
The partnership comes at a time when leaders are facing intense pressure to act quickly on AI while also protecting culture, trust, and strategic coherence. Project Horizons is intended to help organizations move with both speed and discernment, avoiding the false choice between technological progress and human depth.
“Efficiency will matter,” Simmons said. “But the organizations that thrive in this next era will not be the ones that simply automate the most work. They will be the ones that use this moment to become more conscious, more adaptive, and more deeply human.”
